학교소개
Bournemouth 대학교는 20세기 초에 'Bournemouth Municipal College'의 재단에서 시작되었다. 1970년대에 'Bournemouth College of Technology'를 창설했고, 이 시기에, 'Dorset Education Committe'는 양질의 교육을 발전시키기 위해 노력했다. 그 결과, Bournemouth대학교를 'Dorset Institute of Higher Education'로 학교명을 개명했다. 1990년에 'Dorset Institute'은 성공적으로 Polytechnics and Colleges Funding Council의 필요조건을 충족하여 Bournemouth Polytechnic'로 지정되었다. 1992년에 'Higher & Education Act 법령아래, Polytechnic은 Bournemouth 대학교가 되었다. Bournemouth 대학교는 질 높은 학문과 학문적 연구 성과가 뛰어난 학교이며 비즈니스, 디자인, 인류학 등 다방면에서 우수한 전공을 가지고 있다.
