학교소개

1845년에 설립된 The Glasgow School of Art는, 오랜 역사를 지닌 스코틀랜드의 명문 대학으로 알려져 있다. 재학생 중 15%의 학생들이 60여개의 국가에서 온 국제 학생으로 구성되어 있고, GSA의 교수진들은 국제적인 명성을 지닌 아티스트 Thomas Joshua Cooper, Jacki Parry와 같이 미국과 유럽에서 활발하게 활동 중인 교수진들로 실무 위주의 교육을 추구하고 있다. 본교의 졸업생들은 예술가로서 활발한 활동을 펼치고 있으며, Turner Prize 수상자인 Douglas Gordon, Becks Futures의 수상자 Roderick Buchanan, Toby Paterson,Rosalind Nashashibi, 그리고 Jerwood Painting Prize 수상자 Jim Lambie 등 유명한 졸업생들을 배출하고 있다. 또한 IBM, Apple, Dyson, Jaguar Cars, the Ford Motor Company, Foster Associates, Richard Rogers Architects, Nokia, Erricsson 그리고 패션업계 rmani, Versace, Donna Karen 등 유명 기업체에서 활동하고 있는 졸업생들도 많다.
