
안녕하세요, edm유학센터 입니다.
이번 주 소개해드릴 학교는 UC계열 학교 중 세번째인 UCSD 입니다.
캠퍼스는 샌디에고 다운타운에서 차로 약 30분 정도 떨어진 라호야 지역에 위치해 있습니다.
라호야 지역은 미국에서 가장 살기 좋은 지역 중 한 곳이고요, 캠퍼스가 바닷가에 있어 굉장히 아름답고 날씨도 좋답니다.
물론 학교도 굉장히 뛰어난데요, 특히 과학프로그램이 우수하며 해양학, 의학공학쪽은 미국 최고 수준을 자랑합니다.
다만 로스쿨과 비즈니스 스쿨이 없는 것이 단점 이네요, 대학원 규모가 크지 않아 학문적 명성은 조금 약하지만 실제로 매우 우수한 교수진이 많습니다.

학교소개
캘리포니아 대학교 샌디에이고 캠퍼스(University of California, San Diego, 줄여서 UCSD)는 캘리포니아 라호야에 위치한 공립학교이다.
10개의 캘리포니아 주립대학교(UC) 중 하나이고, 1959년 스크립 해양 연구소를 모체로 세워졌다.
학부과정은 영국 옥스퍼드와 케임브리지 대학교의 구성을 본떠서 만들어졌다.
각각의 대학마다 고유의 캠퍼스를 지니고, 각각의 대학마다 고유의 교육과정과 글쓰기 수업이 있다.
UCSD는 2006년 현재 Roger Revelle College, John Muir College, Thurgood Marshall College, Earl Warren College, Eleanor Roosevelt College, Sixth College의
6개의 단과대학으로 구성되어 있다.
입학요건
1) 고등학교 졸업증명서, 성적증명서
2) SAT or ACT test score
3) The minimum accepted score for the TOEFL is 80 for the Internet-based test and 550 for the paper-based test.
The IELTS examination is accepted with a 7 or better band score (academic modules).
