※ Pre-sessional Course(프리세셔널 코스) 란?
석사 혹은 학사 과정에 입학하기 전 약 4~ 8주, 많게는 3~6달, 정도 구성되어 있는 Academic한 영어과정.
논문쓰는법 Reference 쓰는법, 인용하는법, presentation하는 법, critical reading, lecture들을때 note taking하는법 등을 배울 수 있는 유용한 과정.
특히, IELTS 컨디션이 0.5~ 1.0 점이 모자랄 시, 이 과정을 들으면 make up이 될 수 있다.  

※ Leeds 대학 Pre-sessional Course일정이 아래와 같이 변경 되었으며, 10주와 6주의 기회가 있습니다.

Change to Summer (term 4) dates

The summer term was due to start on 1st July 2013 for 10 week programmes and 29th July 2013 for 6 week programmes, ending on 6th September. These dates have now been changed and the term will operate on the following dates:

10 week: 8th July - 13th September 2013
6 week: 5th August - 13th September 2013

Offers based on Language Centre pre-sessional programmes

Student's who apply for taught postgraduate programmes at the University of Leeds will now automatically be offered a place on a Language Centre pre-sessional programme, providing they meet Language Centre entry requirements, if they do not meet the English language entry requirements for their postgraduate course. Language Centre summer 10 and 6 week pre-sessional programmes will be accepted as a standard means of meeting University language requirements alongside other SELTS in offer letters.

This means that if your students apply for a taught postgraduate degree programme at the University of Leeds but do not meet the English language entry requirements, rather than being asked to re-take a SELT (eg. IELTS) they will be asked to take a Language Centre pre-sessional programme. This will be explained in the students offer pack along with instructions on how to apply to study at the Language Centre.

Deferrals

The Language Centre is introducing a policy on deferrals for those students that have an offer and wish to postpone it to a later term.

Applicants can defer for one term however if they choose to defer a second time they must defer for two terms.

Please note: each term has different entry requirements. No exceptional circumstances will be considered.
